I had no problem with the version of Office 2010 version I was using previously (with add-ons Power Query and Power Pivot). Moreover (as mentioned by philwebb59 below) the wheel was keeping spinning.

I've noticed many differences between my home and work computers in the way Power Query works. If I try to edit the query, I get the message "You cannot edit a query while it is being refreshed." If I closeĪnd reopen the file, I can edit the query and see all 544 rows in the Power Query Editor, but if I go to Data -> Show Queries, the query status says "Download did not complete."Īgain, I'm on a Windows 10 HOME edition.
